SWAMP believes it is important to educate children on waste disposal activities such as garbage, recycling and composting. Their habits now will affect the community’s habits in the future.

SWAMP has designed a tour of the landfill to specifically target children. Led by Dave Wolfe, the tour educates the group on topics such as:

• What a landfill is

• How a landfill works

• What products can be reused

• How to recycle

Classroom/home activity sheets will be given to the children after the tour to encourage them to share what they've learned.

 

Our goal is to have yearly tours added into the schools circiulium as part of their studies.
